I have done almost nothing today. Really. I read the latest sections of John Dies At The End, changed my clock for daylight savings, finally cooked an aging zucchini, and tried out my instant coffee- which absolutely sucks, but doctored up with enough sugar it's doable.

I also read some Blue Beetle, which is so cute that I can hardly stand it.

In other news, lovely friend Karel is coming to visit me on Tuesday, and I have classes only on Wednesday of this week, so I might attempt to go wander around the world a little.

I've got a plan in my head to visit Emma in London this December, which should be fun. However, I'm facing the sad possibility of having only one friend from Swells in Europe next semester, which is when I get my school break and had planned to make my little world trip. Oh, well. I'll just have to decided based on destination rather than friend-population of a place. It seems like most people I know are only going abroad one semester, not a whole year. That's just sad.

NaNoWriMo

I am considering doing NaNoWriMo. I certainly feel like I have enough free time to do it.

I mean, you only have to write about 2.5 pages per day for a month. There is no need for a continuity, there is no really need for anything to actually happen, you just have to put the words on the page. I write a lot normally anyways- just this time I would have to have continuity. Of some kind.

Huh. Okay, this begins to sound little scary, but what the hell. Who's going to care if I don't finish or not?

I bought tickets today to go home for Christmas and to visit my friend Emma in London.

I spent the weekend not really speaking, thinking, or reading in German, and when my roomie came back I felt so rusty that I could not really stand it. I think that my only solution is to buy some DVD's in German and watch them- the dialogue there is clear, more often than not I will already have seen it before, and I will have lovely amounts of context to fall back on.
