The thing that REALLY annoys me with the show and the debrief session at the end of 413, before the campfire scene, is that Penny 40 has literally been inside Quentin's head before. In the first season alone, he was in Q's head for important reasons, A LOT, and saw Quentin's fear of being put in a mental institution because he was dangerous to himself and others. Penny, the psychic, had long enough experience to know the interior of Q's mind and make a statement on Quentin's mental state in the past and present and talk about his depression as an objective witness.

Penny 40 literally was the only character who could look back on Quentin's past mental health as a *direct witness* to the interior of Q's mind, and the writers made him the voice of their awful take on Quentin suicide by badly thought-out "heroic sacrifice."

And that really pisses me off.
