Shit shit guys I need icons

So I bought a paid account because, honestly, I feel like Dreamwidth deserves some extra money for storing my fannish hindbrain for the better part of a decade at this point. 

Which means I can now actually have like a hundred icons, and I currently have five, so I need to get me some beautiful damn art right quick.

"Wow, we get 10 icons? That's a lot, I'm sure I won't need any more."
A day later: "I got a paid account and already have 50 icons!! Help!"

Yay! I have a paid account and I frel great about it. I mostly kept renewing it for comment tracking on anon memes, tbh, but supporting the site is a good reason too :P Also apparently there’s a rudimentary tag blacklisting method available on paid accounts, although I haven’t investigated it?

Oooh, good to know! I have been fortunate in not really needing blacklist functions, but it's a good feature to have in your back pocket. I need to do some my research into the useful new powers I have acquired.

OOH! If you need a dreamwidth icon (I suggest at least one), can I recommend the community dreamsheep? THEY HAVE SO MANY CUTE ONES TO CHOOSE FROM! (The dreamsheep is our unofficial dreamwidth mascot and I love them!)

smallbatchicons has some pretty ones. There's also comicbook_icons and fandom_icons. Also graphics and icontalking, which has a handy list of active icon communities at the top!

I tend to either make my own or searched for icons on LJ, before I came over here a couple of years ago. I had 250+ saved on LJ... someday I'll go over and get them all over here. LOL

LJ images were indeed how I learned image editing and made my first gif. But that was several computers ago now, so it's lost to the internet.

I actually was gifted Paint shop pro 7 and animation shop so i learned using that. But yeah. I'm still kinda bad. I can't do the embedded gifs and I know nothing about making gifs actually.

There was always something almost decadent about browsing collections of beautiful icons and thinking "Shall I have this one? What about that?" :)
