I get the feeling that my WATCHMEN viewing experience may have been somewhat diminished by the number of people who walked out of the theater.

That just makes me sad.

It seemed like there were people leaving every half-hour or so after the first hour of the movie. I actually don't think anyone left right after the Antarctica scenes from my bunch, but by then there were only about twelve people left in the audience, and they seemed like the determined sort.
