Well, I am utterly tired and exhausted in a way that I before would only associate with finals period at home and/or a really great cast party.

I just took my Textanalyse final, and while there were indeed moments that were just sucky, I clearly demonstrated that, yes! I do know things about poetry, and the measurements thereof! I can tell you something about the struktur of the Rückwendung in this Ausschnitt, and jetzt mache ich das! Seid ihr nicht zufrieden? Ruhe!

God, you read my mind, right down to the lasers and "plasma." What the hell, censors? What the hell? I think around that time there was also an X-MEN episode set in a small Latveria-type European village where even the villagers had laser cannons.

Honestly, I worry sometimes that there will be kids who hold on to THE BATMAN with as much passion mixed with nostalgia as we do with B:TAS. I sure as hell hope not. If I ever have kids, you can bet I will start them off early on with B:TAS and only the original STAR WARS trilogy.

We hold onto B:TAS because there's inherent value. Perhaps the motivation to start rewatching something is nostalgia, but if the show sucks, you won't make it through the first episode. B:TAS bears rewatching well into one's adulthood because it rocks.

Well, make sure they see episodes iv-Vi at home, and then just lie to them for the next thirty years about the new trilogy's existence. "No, no, episode one is just a myth that people made up scare little nerdlings." This will deprive them of Darth Maul, but ultimately lead to a better life for everyone.

Damn straight! B:TAS holds up beautifully. Well, many/most of them. There always are some dubious episodes in any TV series. But really, the majority of those characters' voices... those ARE the voices I hear when I read Batman comics. I actively dream about getting Richard Moll to perform sections of the Harvey Dent novel (and maybe getting Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to provide cameos).

Word to SW. You know the worst part? I've heard tell of little kids watching both trilogies and vastly preferring the new one. Which makes horrible, horrible sense, the kind of sense you wish weren't true. All the more reason to shelter them, for their own good.

Word. Mark Hamill is the Joker. Screw Nicholson (er, not literally), HAMILL is the joker.

This is the reason we don't let children make decisions for themselves: they make the wrong ones. (Tho New!Yoda kicks some serious full-sized ass.)
