kitewithfishMy sister made her way home this morning, then us Swells peeps went on a guided tour of the third and fourth districts for the benefit of the new girl in the program. She's just doing a single semester, and has already lived in Europe and Germany specifically, so she's pretty accustomed to a lot of the stuff that took us a while to get used to (coming as complete newbies to Europe.)
I'm going to miss my sister in the next few months. I think that she had a good time, once we got past the time when I needed to freak out and study and take finals. I have one final tomorrow, in History, and I'm feeling okay about it. At the very least, I can retake the test later and my life will go on.
I think half of the reason that I was so nervous in taking the first two finals is that I am supposed to be aiming much lower on these tests than I normally do. Here, I have to pass- literally, I just have to not fail and that's it. At home, I'm trying to get a good grade and there's some sincere effort involved. Here, again, the stakes are actually much lower, and if I don't get a pass on one of these exams, guess what happens- I have to go home and take an extra class. Life goes on.
Anyhoo, once I get this last stupid test, I'm just going to take some time to wander Vienna and get some idea of what classes I'm doing next semester.
