I've just received confirmation from my mother than the new power cord I ordered Dec 31st, for which I paid $20 extra to have two day shipping so that it just *might* get to me before I had to leave for Austria, never even got there.
The company has failed to provide me with a shipping number, so I can't track it via UPS. (An invoice number and a 'confirmation' number, but no shipping number.) I've sent them an email just now, to try and figure out if this thing even got sent out. I am seriously annoyed at this- I could have shipped this sucker transatlantic by now, or bought one in Austria myself from the European supplier, and they can't even get the thing shipped inside the United States?
The thing that makes me annoyed is, on the day I was leaving, I saw a UPS truck turn onto the main road that leads away from my house, and I know that my grandmother was in the house at the time. I have a sneaking suspicion that, as has happened before, she didn't bother to open the door when someone rang the bell to sign for my package on the day it arrived, and that my package has since been relegated to shipping limbo. But if I were home to try and ask her about it now, she would not remember.
