Lazy Sunday

I'm just kicking around and trying to think of something to do to fill this day up a little bit more-I've really got nothing going on, and while I'm making plans to meet
spookiepookie later this week, I'm not really sure what the hell is going on in the rest of my life.
I met up with
dedlynitshade earlier and it was wonderful and fun and surreal. We had one of those elliptical conversations where the structure is determined by the (sub)conscious minds of both participants without much interference of the normal filtering procedures that people have in place. The weird thing was that we have not talked in person in about three years, and mostly kept touch through lj's. I'm really kind of annoyed that I waited this long to get back in contact, but I'm very very glad I did. Once I get back to Swelles going into Boston is going to become a much more common thing.
I know that I have to go back to Vienna in a few days and that finals will come soon after that, but God it's freaking me out. I know I signed up for this, and that I'm loving the hell out of it, but at the same time it's so much easier to function in an environment that I am completely familiar with.
Notes on other things:
Enchanted was a lovely Disney-style movie. It was partly a parody of the classic animated films of yore, but it's also a stand-alone feature. I think honestly that it would be a great favorite among young women who grew up with Disney romantic ideals- it's both sweet and uninhibitedly goofy, but you can also catch the parts where someone was having fun playing with the juxtaposition of the live actors and the goofy cartoon feel.
Charlie Wilson's War was really boring. Just... dull. Not actively stupid, not actively offensive, not actively anything. Just a dud. No chemistry, no interesting commentary, no real point. Just so many scenes of talking heads and abbreviated characterization that I can't really understand why these people thought it would be a good idea to make this movie. And I've seen all these actors and Aaron Sorkin doing much better work than this, so I'm not quite sure what that says about it.
