Oh, what a day it has been.

I have accomplished many things today.
-I have been interviewed (and found acceptable) for my internship
-I have gotten my rent, insurance money, and bank card from the bank
-I have begun the process of transferring the money from my American account to my Austrian account (thanks mommie)
-I have bought my semester ticket that lets me use all the public transport in Wien for three months
-I have not done any homework
-I have gone to a welcoming meeting at the University of Vienna for the foreign student body and gotten a free bag out of it (which is almost exactly what I wanted, but now tainted by a touristy feeling. Woe is me. It will be nice when I am out of Vienna)
-I have bought highly important school supplies, like a stapler and post-it notes.
-I have made my printer work again (it was never really that far from working, it just needed a new printer.)
-I have insured the good will of my new roomie by letting her print for free a 26-page document on my computer, and helping her do it
-I have gotten into the good graces of my neighbors by the sneaky means of sitting in the kitchen and being friendly and drinking beer (and smoking one cigarette)
-I have sat through a boring meeting with the dorm director while he talked about the rules for having people over and whatnot, which ended in the bribery of cheap beer and candy ( and made many observations about the tense relationship between people in power and those in large groups of 'oppression'.
- I have secured an invitation to go to a club tomorrow night with some of my floor mates, several of whom seem quite friendly towards me overall.
- I finally tried Red Bull (in any form) with vodka, which sold everywhere here and is quite simply ridiculously expensive, but it's Austrian, so it's cultural.
-And now I am tired and going to bed. And tomorrow I will attempt to learn things.
