There's also the internal voice of "Well, now you've made it nice, so you can see how nice it is- don't you want to put in the effort to KEEP it nice?" and just a little motivation sneaks in to your brain to inspire you to pick up and put away the little bits of shoals of detritus that wash up around you when you are actually using a space.
