Ahh yes I read "Witness for the Dead" for the first time recently and I really enjoyed it! I was actually sorry to finish it, I really enjoyed inhabiting Thara's world, for all its trials and dangers.

Both books are from the perspective of a person who wants to make the world better and kinder, and is actively working to do that, to the extent of their means. YES. This was so refreshing to me at the time of reading, I really appreciated it (having come on the heels of a book about people who decidedly are NOT that way lmao)

I also loved the Liam Gerrard narration! The voice he used for Thara felt very appropriate. It also taught me I'd been mispronouncing "Varenechibel" for all of TGE (wrong emphasis 😔)
