I do not really follow football, except when it leads to a possibility of watching England being sad.

I don't even mean the players, really - I honestly hope they are really nice people and have excellent careers and great success - so long as it's not while playing for England.

Honestly, it's the fans who have really been the problem with their behaviour, like the idiot on TV before the match with a flare shoved up his arse, the people making racist comments towards the guys who missed the penalties, and our government who make a show of condemning the racist fans when they have spoken themselves against taking the knee. The players actually refused to attend a government reception over their behaviour.
