Yes! And the way the Romulan captain is also just so Done with all the warring stupidity and his crew's weird politically motivated bullshit, and he actually tries to out-think Kirk. It's such a good introduction to a new species, and I'm honestly really looking forward to the later episodes with Klingons and other aliens.

(It's also so, so much better than the introductions of other species, like, say, THE FERENGI, that it doesn't bear comparison. )
