I tend to self-edit, though I have a friend who reads my stuff while I'm writing it and whose stuff I read as well. We're not particularly critical of each other: it's more of a recreational gawd-i-love-your-characters exchange, though we do give some suggestions and ask for points of clarification. She is the reason Grushak's last lines don't suck as much as they would have otherwise because I ran them past her several times before the initial upload.
