The morning after
Jun. 17th, 2008 08:12 amAs expected, the Austrians lost. Boo. But that means that the streets of Vienna will return at least partially to normal- all the fans will have to come from out of town.
I suppose that, as a consolation prize, they *might* start cheering the Germans, but I honestly think we're more likely to see a whole slew of Polish flags flying- the colors are right, and they're also newbies to the championship (only, they earned it.) I sincerely doubt that the Austrians will ever cheer for the Germans.
Roomie-watch: The bossy sister relationship between my roomie and her sister makes me very glad that my sister and I a) were not in the same college for my first year of it and b) were never roomies outside the family home. I would never have gotten to like my sister if I had to spend as much time together as these two have to.
