Lost: Laser-like Focus

kitewithfishI've just come to the conclusion that having the winter vacation in the middle of my semester is probably a really, really bad idea for me. It puts my head into a place of "What, it's still Christmas time! You should relax and have fun!" This is clearly not the place I need my head to be.
Fortunately, things are not really yet dire, and I doubt my goofing off will lead to terminal distress in the long run.
Tonight the Wintersession-in-Vienna folks are coming down from on high (or from Wellesley, wherever) and we're going to do some hanging out. I must admit, that part of the appeal of this endeavor for me is a) talking to people that I have something in common with, and b) speaking English. The last couple of days I have been so Internet-suchtig (read: webaddicted) that I am beginning to think that I might be subconsciously hiding from the world. Or, not so subconscious, just maybe a little more about complete lack of motivation to do anything other than sit around and read.
But nothing perks me up like having a deadline. So, I will attempt to get some reading/ eating done before I head out to hang with the Swelles crowd, and perhaps some of them will be interesting cool people.
