Colleen, Kate and I went to the Schönbrunn Tiergarten today. It was very impressive and wonderful, but rainy. There were a few parents and small children toughing it out, but it really is clear more of a summer thing.
The range of animals there was impressive- from polar bears and elephants to tigers and pelicans. My favorite (and Colleen and Kate's *least* favorite) was a portion of the rainforest building- the Bat Room. It was just a nice warm dark cave full of bats doing their batty thing. It was awesome, but rather difficult to see the little beasts in full glory. A number of large fruit bats were chilling at the top of the main rainforest enclosure, grooming and generally being too cute for words.
It was a nice day, and since it only cost me E5, I will likely go back and take better advantage of the slew of beasts and the park in general.
