Note to self: get more music from System of a Down- this is the only song I have by them and it kind of rocks my socks.
On the other hand, I cannot stand listening to the song 'Overdrive' by Katy Rose, for the single reason of the first verse bothering me so much...
Outta bed at the crack of noon
Blare the music and have a swoon
I can't stop thinkin of your face
La la lee la lee loo lace
Set aside the fact that one cannot 'have a swoon', I'm still just bugged by the utter patheticness off that last line: they really could not think up an actually line to rhyme with "face"? Not one? Not at all? They gave up and stuck in some stupid noises in the middle of a verse without even really trying at all! It strikes me as a rather sad compromise.
Later... I apparently left this window open for about three hours without posting it...
I'm going to make some more money this evening by doing English proof reading of K. dissertation. Which is fine, and not a bad way to earn some money, but I am beginning to wish that I was making more of it in general.
In other news, I bought a rather nice blouse from H&M yesterday and am feeling pretty.
TO THOSE WHO WANTED NEW HAIRCUT PICTURES: See my facebook, where the pics have been uploaded. I have tried putting them on lj, but the loading process is taking so long that I've basically given up for the moment.
