So, did not get up today until about 11, and then did not get out the door really until 1pm. Not bad, I would say. Sleep is important.

So, I wrote up my little official bill for the translation I did, and sent it to the appropriate people- I should be seeing a bump in my bank account in the next few days.

I then proceeded to spend the bulk of the day in Stephansplatz's little Starbucks, reading and drinking coffee, then in the University's huge library reading and doing work there. There are banks of tables were all the lights just do not work- I was stuck there for a while, but I eventually was able to take on of the abandoned places back and actually get some reading done without squinting like a crazy woman.

Yesterday was St. Martin's Day, which requires the eating of a goose. So, we met up with Alex to discuss Arthur Schnitzler's Traumnovella, and watched the movie Eyes Wide Shut which is based on it. There are some significant differences between the two, most of which escaped me by virtue of the fact that we watched EWS in German dubs, and I ended up scribbling notes about fanfic in my journal for most of the time. Then we all got into a taxi to go eat a goose, and that was nice, but the whole event ended up taking seven hours.

So, basically, I have spent two days speed-reading German novels (which was great, because I finally feel like I'm actually reading at a decent), wandering out being a pedestrian in foul weather, drinking Starbucks coffee, and sleeping very late. I am going to try to get back into a normal rhythm tomorrow and get up and get out of the house early enough to actually do some reading and studying.

Note: Found Xocolat, which Sarah informs me is the best chocolate shop in the world. I think I would not mind checking that out.
