I download stuff to my computer and then sideload it onto my eReader when I'm down to about 10 works on it. (I don't save, I just delete once I've finished).

Over the years I have become a bit skittish about deleting things - every so often a fic I adore will end up deleted by the author and there are a few I have never been able to find or re-read because of that. And I love to re-read - one things a bad memory is great for is to experience a work fresh all over again.

I completely stand by anyone's right to bow out of fandom for whatever reason, and to take their works offline if they want to! But I do appreciate having backups for my own personal enjoyment, so I'm building some redundancy into my system. :)
