    <content type="html">Not in like any organized way, but it just  seems like emoji have cross my datastream in a couple of oddly different ways, so here's a round up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Organization for Transformative Works announces &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.transformativeworks.org/november-2018-newsletter-volume-130/"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;EMOJI FOR ALL!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;In the November 2018 newsletter, they announced updates for AO3:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt; This month, Accessibility, Design &amp;amp; Technology and Systems collaborated on a week-long process to update AO3&amp;rsquo;s database encoding. This was a big project with a big result: the AO3 now allows for an extended character set in all languages and, including ALL THE EMOJI! We&amp;rsquo;re delighted to have implemented the update and are looking forward to seeing new emoji-filled fanworks.&lt;/blockquote&gt;Which generally sounds awesome - the fact that some languages had a limited character set must have been a real cramp in some writers' styles. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Vox had a video on a new trend&lt;/strong&gt; that creeps me the fuck out: &lt;a href="https://youtu.be/RK1K78PyWDc"&gt;Advertisers can now send you ads based on your emotional state via your emoji&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;. I fear that they may have already discovered the eggplant.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br type="_moz" /&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=kitewithfish&amp;ditemid=395858" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/&gt; comments</content>
