I'm honestly puzzled by this - and it might be a lack of context. The racism comes in - for me - in the decision by the storyteller to include the race of the people involved. I have to wonder at what type of reaction those facts are meant to elicit.
From there, are we meant to assume that these people had a prior relationship? Nothing about that simple sentence would seem to indicate so. Are we meant to assume some level of promiscuity and enticement by the woman because of her origin? Or that the man is not to blame because he's white and is therefore a victim?
