Sometimes I get lost in Google spirals where I try to figure out how a teeny detail works in canon. For example, in the Dune universe, their spaceships are often piloted by beings called Navigators who stay in giant tanks of special gas. They cannot survive outside of these tanks and yet they can somehow pilot these spaceships? How? Do they have claw arm thingies attached to the tanks to press buttons on the ship console? Do they just instruct the humans to press buttons for them? How???

Finally read a book in the series where there was a throwaway line about their tanks having special interfaces linked to the ships. (Which is very common sense, I suppose, but I wanted canon confirmation dammit.)
