Easter!

I finally went to church again, for really the first time in months. I missed Lent entirely, so having an Easter celebration without the needed Good Friday and Easter Vigil stuff felt very, very strange.

However, I did get there, and there was a nice service. As usual, the music selection was from among the dullest of the English selection, droning where it should exult, and apologetic where it should have been celebratory. Oddly, there also seemed to be a lot more of the "God as King/Warrior" typography in that particular service, though that may be a reflection of the fact that the chapel was built for English soldiers in Vienna. (Of the three stained-glass windows, two were of soldiers with drawn swords, and the last was a very gung-ho Jesus. Strange feeling for me- the only saints I like with swords are Joan of Arc, Catherine (the one martyred on a wheel), and a Margaret whose name and attributes escape me. Needless to say, none of them were men.)

Also, I made eggs smothered in tasty seasonings- so much better that way (Thank Johanna.)

I will go to London tomorrow- it is a bank holiday, but I will at least spend the half-day of being tired and slightly confused by the foreign city on a day when there is nothing to do. That will leave me more time to have actual fun with the Emma. (Bringing my inflatable mattress with me this time, too.)
